Greetings
Greetings,
Thanks for checking out From The Green Room. If you are wondering what this site is, let’s start with how it came to life.
My name is Brien Mitchum. From an early age, I have always had a deep love for music. That passion really took shape in my freshman year of high school when I started discovering bands like Nirvana, Stone Temple Pilots, Soundgarden, and Metallica. Those artists helped shape not just my taste in music, but the way I connected with culture and storytelling through sound.
As I grew older, that passion turned into action. I attended my first live concert, and that experience only strengthened my love for live music. Eventually, photography became part of the journey as well. I went back to school to pursue a Bachelor of Arts degree in Photography, which opened the door for me to start working with online music publications.
I began with The Network 317, where I got my first real experience covering live shows and concert photography. From there, I moved on to The Front Row Report, where I covered more events, interviewed artists, and learned what it takes to help run a publication from the ground up.
After gaining that experience, I decided to build something of my own. That is how From The Green Room was born. For nearly Six years, this platform has grown into a space where I cover concerts, interview bands, and share music from both major artists and rising talent.
After years of running separate sites, I decided to combine all my passions into one place.
Alongside music and photography, my interests have continued to grow and evolve. I am currently the Director of Media for the Players Football Association (PFA), where I contribute to sports coverage and storytelling within the league.
This work also connects to two sports-focused sections within this platform. The Rundown is the official PFA podcast, where I help cover and highlight stories, moments, and updates from the league. In addition, Press Box Report focuses on covering a wider range of sports beyond the PFA, bringing commentary, analysis, and coverage from multiple levels of competition.
Outside of music and sports, I have also reconnected with another creative passion—LEGO building. This has grown from a long history of model railroading and building scale models, hobbies that taught me patience, detail, and creativity in a hands-on way. Today, I enjoy sharing that side of my creativity as part of this platform as well.
At its core, From The Green Room is a space where I bring together everything I care about—music, sports, photography, and creative hobbies. It is a place built around storytelling, whether that story comes from a stage, a stadium, or a workbench.
So whether you are here for music coverage, PFA content, broader sports coverage, or creative projects and hobbies, you will find something that connects with you. This site continues to grow as I do, and I am excited to share that journey with anyone who stops by.
If you are a musician, athlete, creator, or just someone who enjoys good stories and authentic coverage, feel free to reach out. I am always open to connecting, collaborating, or sharing ideas.
Thanks for stopping by and being part of the journey.
Keep creating, keep watching, and keep moving forward.
